The Hunted Contest: All the Videos Entered!
Hey everyone,
So the contest has closed to new video submissions, and now all of us who have entered have to wait the week to see the outcome. I thought I’d post a large post now that links everyone’s videos so there’s a nice centralized place to watch all the videos in this contest. Some of them are really quite fantastic, and it’s nice for everyone to get exposure to a new group of people. I’ve been talking a lot with the creators of some of these episodes, and some pretty big The Hunted plans are in the works. I can’t talk a lot about them because we want it to be a surprise when it happens, but I think everyone will be really happy with the outcome. The Hunted is starting take off for lots of people so be sure to look for more new episodes in the next year or so.
Anyways I’ll start with our player with our three episodes. If you’ve watched them already, feel free to give them another look, or if you just want to see what everyone else is doing, feel free to scroll down past this player and look at it. If you like the videos head on over to everyone’s site and give them a “like” or a comment, I’m sure they’ll appreciate it.
So here’s our player:
The first episode I’m linking (due to berating) is from my Staged Combat teacher Mark Bedell. As mentioned in an earlier post he has posted a sequel to his first episode which spawned ours. It’s called Generations II.
The next four episodes I’m linking to are all from our fellow affiliate Kendall Wells. He runs The Hunted: Chronicles of Kendall. He won the contest last year and has put together four great episodes to be submitted for this year’s contest.
Episode 2: Desert Storm
Episode 3: Hunted? Hunted.
Episode 4: Mission Impossible
Episode 5: Mission vs. Lunch
The next two videos are from another affiliate The Hunted: Tampa. Their first episode was widely considered to be one of if not the best video from the first contest, and their 2 new episodes are also kick ass.
Episode 2: Infiltration pt. 1
Episode 3: Infiltration pt. 2
The next video is from a newcomer, who’s also in episodes 2 and 3 of The Hunted: Tampa. His episode is called “The Ballad of Leroy” and I must say, it’s one of the funniest episodes I’ve seen of any of the series. Dear Lord, I was laughing my ass off the whole time I watched.
The Ballad of Leroy:
This next episode comes out of South Africa! No joke. The Hunted is fully international and trans-continental! It’s called “Unseen Truth”
Unseen Truth:
Last year Matanzas High submitted a video called “Slaughter High” into the contest. They’ve followed up with a second submission this year which I think is better than their first!
Slaughter High:
This next one is in my opinion one of the oddest submissions The Hunted has ever had. It is by far the best editing, the fighting is awesome, and it is hilarious. Check it out, it’s called…Blood Sucker Punch.
Blood Sucker Punch:
There’s a three-part episode submission called “The Hunted goes to Book Club. Here are all three posted below!
The Hunted Goes to Book Club:
Another newcomer submission, this is a great episode about what if a vampire slayer was also a soccermom. I laughed my butt off at this video because I know lots of mothers like this (minus the vampire slayer part…I think.)
Another Thing on the List:
Next up is another submission from St. Louis, MO. This one from Brian Peters. He has done a hell of a job getting extras together and getting locations. He gets props for the best episode setting wise in my opinion, and the fighting’s pretty freaking cool as well.
Bite Club:
Last (but most certainly not least) is a submission from Theatrical Combat Network, who put together a hysterical episode about taking over a television studio as vampires. This is a fun episode because it’s actually from the perspective of a vampire, not of a slayer. I think that’s novel to this series up ’til now. Kudos for that original take on the series guys!
April Fools:
There’s one last late submissions called “Ladies of the Night”. Check them out, The episode is quite cool.
Ladies of the Night:
So that’s it. These are all the submissions in the contest (I think). If you want to make sure their aren’t more, check out The Hunted Official YouTube! and click on the playlist dedicated to the second YouTube contest. Hope you enjoy all the videos, and go give these guys a nice “hello” or a liking to let them know you like their stuff! Thanks for checking out The Hunted: Expulsion as well, and stay tuned for more updates very soon!
