Merry Christmahanukwanzikahstice and a Happy New Year
Hey everyone,
I know it’s been a while since I posted, life got a little crazy and so I just decided to take a break from all extraneous things. I am back however, and one of my new years resolution is to turn this into a legitimate blog which will not just be me rambling about myself (though of course, that will still happen, I have to feed my ego somehow:-D).
Anyways I’m currently in Pennsylvania at my dad’s house, I drove down here on christmas day and I’m spending a few days here, just relaxing and not doing much. It’s 65 degrees outside right now, and the sun isn’t even out…I hate places south of Maine. Things have been good here, I haven’t done anything but eat food, relax, sleep, and we went to a Dr. Seuss themed party last night, that was fun, and it was at this beautiful house nearby Allentown owned by a designer. He does good work, and if he has a website I can find, I will link to his page. If you would like to read more about it, go to my stepmother’s website and she’ll have a full write-up on there soon complete with pictures so you can see just how amazing this designer is. She also has done other parties of his in the summer when you can see his entire grounds…the man is talented, to say the least. I would like to give you all a christmas treat, to show my gratitude for you all. So this is a link to my new favorite christmas song, listen and love…it is truly something special.
My finals ended up well, and I got better grades than I was expecting. It was hell, however, considering I slept for a total of 5 hours between monday morning and thursday night. I spent too many hours in the library, or awake at my desk. Then again, that’s the nature of finals isn’t it? Everything turned out well in the end anyways, I got a better grade in Musical Styles than I had hoped for, and that was true with the majority of my classes. I drove back across to Newton Massachusetts on friday morning in a crazy snow storm, stayed there, then went to Maine…only to have another crazy snow storm. I love the northeast.
My computer has died. R.I.P. Ned’s Dell Inspiron 6000, you lasted me 5 happy years, but now it is time for you to be scrapped for parts. It made it through finals, got home, and just went kaputz, so I appreciate it’s concern in letting me at least make it through finals week. If my computer had died then, I would have been horribly HORRIBLY screwed. Because of the nature of Ithaca’s infrastructure, I’ve bitten the bullet and I’m switching over to Mac. I just bought the new MacBook Pro, it’s currently in Maine on my kitchen counter waiting for me…and I am in Pennsylvania, a thought which keeps eating away at me, but nevermind. I can’t wait to get going on my new computer, I’m all excited…Nicole keeps making fun of me because I won’t stop talking about this new computer at home.
I wasn’t planning another one of those things I’ve done in the past where I divulge everything that’s happened since my last post. I would do that, but it’s been since thanksgiving…a lot has happened. Needless to say, I got a great review letter, my knee seems to be healing very well, and I did quite well in my classes. Enough said.
The next time I post will be on my new computer…I’ll be sure to post once I’m on.
I hope everyone is well, and hopefully I’ll hear from you soon.
